Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy focuses on improving movement, strength, mobility and overall function through evidence-based assessment and treatment. Whether you’re managing a chronic condition, recovering from surgery, or working toward specific NDIS goals, we tailor each session to your needs and environment. With hands-on techniques, guided exercise and practical strategies for daily life, physiotherapy helps you move confidently and independently in the spaces that matter most.
- Exercise Therapy: One of the most effective physio tools. Exercise therapy includes stretching, strengthening, balance work, endurance training and mobility practice. Exercises are tailored to your goals — whether that’s improving walking, reducing pain, building strength, or increasing independence in daily activities.
- Functional Training: This focuses on practising real-life movements such as standing up, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, lifting, or getting in and out of bed. Functional training is especially important for NDIS participants, amputees, older adults, and anyone wanting to improve daily independence.
- Balance & Falls Prevention: Programs focused on improving stability, coordination, reaction time and confidence. Often includes standing exercises, step practice, dual-tasking, and home/environment safety strategies. Vital for older adults and anyone at risk of falling.
- Community-Based Therapy: Therapy done outside the home — such as at parks, gyms, or community centres — to practise real-world mobility, fitness, balance, confidence, and participation goals.
- Manual Therapy: Hands-on treatments used to reduce pain, release tight muscles, and improve joint movement. This may include: Soft tissue massage, Joint mobilisation and Passive stretching
Remedial Massage
Remedial massage targets tight, sore or overworked muscles to reduce pain, improve mobility and restore balance in the body. Using a range of techniques—including deep tissue, trigger point therapy and relaxation—treatment is customised to your comfort and goals. It’s ideal for managing ongoing muscle tension, supporting recovery and enhancing your overall wellbeing. Delivered in your home, it provides safe, convenient relief that helps you feel your best.
- Deep Tissue Massage: Targets deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to release long-standing tension, knots and stiffness. Ideal for chronic tightness, postural strain, and areas that feel “locked up.”
- Trigger Point Therapy: Focuses on specific, tender points in the muscle that refer pain to other areas. Applying gentle, sustained pressure helps reduce pain, improve movement and restore normal muscle function.
- Myofascial Release: A gentle but powerful technique that works on the fascia — the connective tissue surrounding muscles. Helps reduce tightness, improve posture and relieve whole-body restriction.
- Relaxation Massage: A slower, calming style of massage aimed at reducing stress, anxiety and muscle tension. Helps regulate the nervous system and restore overall wellbeing — perfect for clients needing emotional and physical reset.
- Joint Mobilisation & Assisted Stretching: Combines massage with gentle joint movements and supported stretching to improve flexibility, range of motion and functional mobility. Great for stiff backs, tight hips, shoulder issues and reduced movement from inactivity.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is a gentle, water-based form of physiotherapy that uses the warmth and buoyancy of the pool to support movement, reduce pain and make exercise easier. It’s especially helpful for people with mobility challenges, muscle weakness, chronic pain, or those recovering from injury or surgery. In the water, you can move more freely and safely, allowing for effective strengthening, balance training and confidence-building in a low-impact environment.
- Reduced Pain and Joint Load: Water's natural buoyancy supports the body and reduces pressure on joints, helping people move more freely and comfortably than they often can on land.
- Improved Strength and Mobility: Water provides gentle resistance in every direction, making it a safe and effective environment for building strength, improving range of motion, and supporting rehabilitation.
- Increased Confidence and Safety: The supportive nature of water helps clients feel more stable, reducing fear of falling and encouraging movement that may feel too challenging on land.
- Enhanced Circulation and Relaxation: Warm water helps relax muscles, increase blood flow, and ease stiffness—ideal for pain management, neurological conditions, and recovery after injury.
- Accessible for All Abilities: Hydrotherapy can be adapted for people of all ages and mobility levels, including those with disability, chronic pain, balance concerns, and deconditioning.
